God said to King Solomon: “Ask! What shall I give you?”
In effect, God handed Solomon a blank check. What an example of His generosity.
In replying to God, Solomon asked for an understanding heart (wisdom) to lead
wisely. Your Bible says this reply pleased God and He gave Solomon his request.
Then God added: “And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so
that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days.”
Today, the Person of the Holy Spirit brings wisdom to us by bringing back to our
remembrance the words of Jesus and by showing us things to come. Your Kingdom
benefits through the infilling include the gifts of the Spirit which are
everything you need to live life skillfully, generously, and fearlessly bring
the influence of Heaven to bear on earthly situations.
